Professional Photographers

These photos are taken by professional photographers. I chose one photo from each photographer and I critiqued each one. The phootgraphers pictures were all available from http://photographer.com

Tom Grissman:

I like this picture by Grissman. You can see the symmetry of all the riders. The riders and their horses stand out against the background. The use sepia draws the reader’s attention. The horses tail really shows capture my attention without drawing attention away from the riders.

Samantha Mastropolo:

The intensity of this picture is crazy. She looks like she staring at something unbelievable. The focus of her eyes makes you wonder what exactly is outside of that window. The subjects pink shirt draws the attention of view, but it does not overshadow the subjects face.

J.D. Small:

The subject is a tall building with many windows. The building looks like a giant mirror made with many little mirrors. The sky behind the building is very intense. It reminds me of my photo of the Verizon sign. The sky looks like it is fading from dark blue to light blue. This building also reflects another building that is beside it, that cast a shadow on the present building. The contrast of the building and the sky make this a good picture.

Bill Schwob:

To me this picture looks so unreal. I really love this picture. The green background makes the gold horns stand out. The way all the objects in photo are organized makes everything fit together. The light that is focused mainly on center on the photo made it intense. The sheet music also adds a good element in the photo.

Scott Baker:

The sunset light against this bridge highlights the midsection of the bridge. The light intensity of this photo is great. The bridge stands out but the background city is also brightened by the sunset. Since the photo is not straight on, the angle of the photo also makes this a good picture.
